Donald Trump is at war with the Republican Governor of Georgia. He’s certified results that the President claims are fraudulent. And Kayleigh McEnany said four words about the Georgia Governor that will leave you speechless. Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany tore into Georgia Governor Brian Kemp for Kemp’s refusal to call a special session of the legislature to allow for a signature match verification for shady mail-in ballots and to contest the results showing Joe Biden allegedly winning Georgia by a little under 12,000 votes.
McEnany demanded Kemp “allow for the signature match” and slammed Kemp for scheming to “deceive voters” by claiming he did not have the power to call for a signature verification or a special session. But McEnany went even further and slammed Brian Kemp saying “Governor Kemp is Stacey Abrams” for Kemp taking Stacey Abrams’ position not to check signatures on mail-in ballots.“Governor Kemp is no different than Stacey Abrams right now. She did this consent decree, and by not doing this, Governor Kemp is Stacey Abrams and that is despicable.” Georgia entered into a consent decree after the 2018 election where then-Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp defeated Stacey Abrams by about 50,000 votes, which prevented the state from matching signatures.
This disaster in Georgia is all of Kemp’s making for allowing ballot drop boxes, mail-in voting, and agreeing not to check signatures on mail-in votes. Even after video evidence emerged of poll workers counting ballots hidden in suitcases underneath a table, Kemp still did not budge. If Kemp decides to run for re-election in 2022, it is very likely that Donald Trump will endorse a primary challenger and that will be the end of the road for Governor Kemp.
